Haiti Relief At Crossroads, observes Returning Relief Worker Pastor Stewart Farley
Washington, DC (Vocus) -- Pastor Stewart Farley (www.StewartFarleyMinistries.com) of the Rhema Christian Center in Lewisburg WV has just returned from a lengthy fact finding and compassion mission to Haiti. Pastor Farley, who serves as a board member for International Missions Outreach Haiti said "The needs of the Haitian people remain overwhelming. Now that the media has left and the world's attention is focused on other issues, there is a real concern that this need will not be met. The cameras are gone, but the need continues."
Farley and Rhema Christian Center are long time supporters of International Missions Outreach-Haiti (IMO). International Missions Outreach is one of the largest and longest standing active mission organizations in Haiti. The organization has built several schools, private homes and churches in Haiti prior to the January 12th earthquake which devastated Haiti. Since then, IMO has continued its mission by providing food, shelter, medical care, prayer, and comfort to those most in need.
Pastor Farley has appeared in many leading media outlets contributing his unique insight after dozens of visits to Haiti prior to and now in the aftermath of the earthquake to comment on:
-How relief efforts are going there from his “boots on the ground” perspective
-Personal stories that touched him most on this trip to Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquake
-Whether the pictures we've seen on TV and in the newspaper are an accurate representation of what it's really like in Haiti, now two months after the earthquake
-How individuals and corporations in the U.S. can continue to most effectively help Haitians in need
Pastor Stewart Farley (www.StewartFarleyMinistries.com) and his wife Sheila are the founders of Rhema Christian Center, a large interdenominational, multi-cultural church located in Lewisburg WV, near the world famous Greenbrier resort.
